Overview
Fructooligosaccharides are short-chain fructose oligomers (GF2, GF3, GF4) produced enzymatically from sucrose, or by controlled hydrolysis of chicory inulin. They are supplied as a free-flowing powder or as a clarified syrup.
Maxeve sources FOS directly from selected manufacturing partners and coordinates specification review, sample supply, lot documentation and Canadian delivered cost.
Grade selection is driven by the finished-product system: purity level (typically 95% or 55% on dry basis), format (powder or syrup), sweetness contribution, process temperature and pH, and the label position you intend to take in Canada.
Key value
- Powder and syrup grades at typical purities of 95% and 55% on a dry basis
- Mild sweetness — approximately 30-60% of sucrose depending on grade
- High water solubility; suited to beverages, dairy and dry blends
- Non-GMO and vegan-suitable manufacturing; Halal and Kosher available by grade
- Specification, COA and certification package coordinated by Maxeve before qualification
Applications
- Beverages, powdered drink mixes and syrups
- Dairy, yogurt and dairy alternatives
- Bars, cereals and bakery systems
- Infant, senior and clinical nutrition formats
- Supplements, gummies and confectionery

Quality & certifications
- Manufacturing partners operating certified food-safety systems (ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / HACCP), confirmed per supplier at qualification
- Non-GMO documentation available
- Halal and Kosher certification available by grade and plant
- Allergen, gluten and vegan statements supplied with the qualification package
Documentation available
- Technical Data Sheet for the selected powder or syrup grade
- Lot-specific Certificate of Analysis
- Safety Data Sheet
- Certification files (food safety system, Halal, Kosher, Non-GMO where applicable)
- Manufacturing flow chart and allergen statement on request
Regulatory status
- Canada
- Used as a food ingredient. Fibre-related nutrient content claims are not assumed: any dietary-fibre position must be supported against Health Canada's accepted-fibre framework for the specific ingredient, grade and finished product before it is used on a label.
- Labelling support
- Maxeve provides the manufacturer documentation needed for your regulatory review. Claim decisions remain with the finished-product manufacturer.
Values shown are typical grade ranges for planning. Binding values are those in the current Technical Data Sheet and the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis issued with the shipment.
